CaliMommy, Good idea on the blood test.  I will try to wait until Tuesday and if it is still negative go from there.  Since I tested positive after 4 or 5 days of being late with DD, I am hopeful to get something on Tuesday, which will be seven days late.  But, that doesn't make waiting any easier!  I am totally paranoid that every symptom is either pregnancy or AF coming and neither happens!  AHHH!!

Well best guess for O was the 2nd through today so we made a good effort we'll see in a couple of weeks I suppose assuming my cycle is staying about 31 days. Who knows though it's been all crazy since returning PP

I've always had long and irregular cycles...except for about a year pre-DS, where I had "perfect" 28-day cycles.  So hopefully the BF-ing, and even longer and more irregular cycles will not hinder our attempts at #2.  As of today, I am on CD 102....SERIOUSLY! (my avg is 51 days) We've just started TTC (last Sunday) and I've just started temping/charting again, so hopefully I see O or AF soon!

I honestly haven't found a better place online for the support you're looking for!  I am currently nursing my 3 1/2 year old before bed, and my 18 month old ALL. DAY. LONG! You're in the right place!

AFM: If I'm o-ing it should be happening some time in the next week.  I'm a little worried because this is only my 2nd cycle pp and this week my LO has decided to nurse for about 99% of his nutrition. He must be fighting some bug or something, because it is a striking difference from the past several months, so I don't want to limit him, but I also don't want it to mess with my ovulation, you know?  Anyway, we will be trying our best this week to catch the egg and then be on the 2WW again!

Can I join? I'm on my third PP cycle, my DD is 14 months and nurses a few times at night and throughout the day. My cycles are all over the place so I don't know when I O, but we're dtd every other to every couple days hoping to catch the egg.

We're trying to get pregnant before May so we can have our baby here (home birth) before we move overseas. Wish us luck, we really really want this to happen soon.

I totally caved and tested again this AM (6 days late) and it was negative.  Is it possible that my hormones could be totally different than last pregnancy (when I tested positive after 4 or 5 days late) since I am still breastfeeding and that is why it isn't showing up positive yet?  Or maybe the opposite end of things...my hormones are different because of breastfeeding and my whole cycle is messed up and I am not pregnant!  This is only my third PP cycle but the first two were 27 and 28 days, right now I am on CD 34.  hmmm...

Every time I read this thread I get closer and closer to being ready :)

dd is 18 months and still pretty much exclusively breastfed, (a long story for another thread...) but we are making progress with her tasting food, so hopefully she'll be eating soon, and I wont have to worry about possibly loosing my supply if we get preg.

I'm hoping to be preg this summer.. I think... lol

Hey ladies! Just catching up on the March thread! Congrats to the new BFPs!!!, and welcome to the new gals!

Well, I guess I need to be moved back to waiting to be ready (although I am completely ready!); after the return of AF, DH decided that we should wait a little longer :( After a long heart to heart, it turns out he's scared of messing a wonderful thing up (as in how wonderful things are with just us 3). Of course it was one of those conversations that just makes you want to have 20 more kids with such an awesome guy . At any rate our current "plan" is to not actively try, but to also not prevent (which was our plan before AF came back). I'm secretely hoping for a suprise BFP, but also told DH that just a sure as it could happen, it could also take several months for my cycle to regulate (or it may not happen until weaning). I will still keep up with this board; you guys are a great support system!!

SoCaliMommy, I think I may have screamed a little looking at your gorgeous BFPs and posts! Sooooo happy for you!!!

srplayas, sorry your body is being confusing! I understand the feeling well... I have totally felt what I thought was ovulation, had gorgeous EWCM, cramping 2 weeks later and... nothing. Grrr. Time will tell, I suppose.

As for me, not much going on. I'm feeling kinda blah/laissez-faire about the whole TTC thing lately. ds is such a needy, clingy baby (not like my girls) and some days I think I'm crazy for wanting to add to the family. But I like the almost-3-years spacing we have going and want to be done having our family also. I did just order an ovulation/pregnancy combo from SaveOnTests, maybe that'll shed some light. Sigh.

I spoke too soon, just had some dark brown spotting and have that dull ache into the thighs feeling. So funny how you can go 28+ months without those feelings, but they're still so familiar! Here's to a full period and normal cycling!

I took a round of provera to bring on af and I had a min of a light flow and then spotting the next 2 days. I am counting it as the starts of a cycle so I am trying to catch the first egg...

Congrats on the bfp and the ppaf. I am excited to really be able to ttc now...

Hello Nursing Moms, just checking in here. Can I be moved to Waiting to O. CD1 here, which is both good and bad. Bad that I'm not pregnant, but good that my cycle was only 40 days despite not ovulating, I know that sometimes people have annovulatory cycles that just go on forever, so I'm happy to be on to a new month of trying. I bought some OPKs and a basal thermometer, because my little man is sleeping so much better since we started night weaning that I'm going to try to chart this month! I've never had a chance to chart as I didn't find out about the whole concept before I got pregnant with DS and I haven't attempted to start since due to the excessive night nursing/ interrupted sleep etc., so I'm pretty excited about that too. Welcome to all the new moms and congrats to those who are getting/got first ppaf, we're all getting one step closer to conceiving some beautiful baby brothers and sisters.
