NOS means new old stock when you're on ebay looking for parts for your classic car. It means the item is in original packaging, but has been on the shelf since your vehicle was new, and that's about how I feel...first time to this rodeo, after riding the footloose and fancy-free circuit for 38 years...and for the whole first trimester I've had a hard time admitting that it is actually happening to me. Even though we talked about it, wanted it, and did it on purpose.

Husband and I are those youthful, extended-adolescence type of people, the cool auntie and uncle of all our friends' kids, who until very recently revelled in the fact that we could still drink too much and sleep late and hop a plane on very short notice. Well, here we are, kind of feeling like untethered teenagers, but willing to try to get it right. After a pretty amazing first ultrasound yesterday, and a favorable review by the OB this coming Friday, we will be ready to tell our families, and maybe the whole world, this weekend.

I've enjoyed lurking the forums here on MDC and have learned a lot already (even through the naseuos haze of the past several weeks), and I'm looking forward to becoming a member of the community. Thanks in advance to all you amazing expert moms for your patience, as I stumble into the conversation. I have lots of questions and lots to learn.
