intractable uterine bleeding and hair loss

Since Little Miss was born back in September, I have never stopped bleeding. They tried lots of different BC pills, estrogen, primarin IV (which required a hospital stay) and now they are on the IUD (which had to be taken out because my body was rejecting it, and replaced with a new one) and I am still having bleeding. Some days it is heavy, like a period, some days it's spotty... but its always there...

Any other ladies experience this? What did you do about it? Next step is a uterine albation, and I dont want that :(

Also, I have been having MASSIVE hair loss. And it's not from low blood counts (which suprisingly with the bleeding, are on the low end of normal) Which leads me to ask - how long does PP hair loss go on for? And how much is normal? My hair is actually falling out - to the point my Dr. gave me a steroid foam to use for a week and a shampoo.... which hasnt been helping much.

He said it may be related to PP hair loss, but is also testing me for lupus (since thyroid checked out fine)

Its frustrating! Thanks for the help.

How can you be sure that the blood loss isn't affecting the hair loss?

I've always had heavy period and I had a bleeding "episode" last winter where I lost A LOT of blood and that caused hair loss. My iud has helped tremendously with bleeding since then.

You just gave birth in September too so it you could have a double whammy there. I took extra Biotin when it happened to me and it seemed to work.

Thank you for the reply! I'm hoping the IUD I have has the same effect!!
