"I'm doing a study..." type-threads?

I have seen a lot of these "I am a student/researcher etc... and am looking for participants for my study..." threads around here recently.  Are these considered legal or are they a UAV?  Should we report them?

 

Just curious.  Thanks!

If they are for topics that are of Mothering /MDC community interest they are usually okay, especially for students and researchers. Occasionally we'll see some that are marketing-oriented or for-profit intent. Those have to have our approval so if you come across something like that then please do report it.
