Pumping for toddler while nursing a young baby

Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? DS is two and weaned himself while I was pregnant with DD (at about 19-20 months). I want him to have the benefits of breastmilk and have been offering it to him in a cup on occasion, especially when he's in a picky eater/not hungry phase and I want him to have the calories.

I take a prenatal daily and supplement with Vitamin D3 drops when I remember. Anything else I should know or be doing?

Thanks, mamas!

I think it is a great idea.

Me too. When DS was first born I pumped some for DD, who was 4.5, until she decided she didn't like it any more greensad.gif. You don't need to do anything special - anything you give will be great.

I'm also considering getting some breastmilk back into my toddler's diet. He will have been weaned for about a year by the time I am nursing again. Does it loose any benefits if I mix it with whole cow's milk?
