Cramping and spotting

Thread Starter

I woke up in the middle of the night with mild to moderate period-like cramping. After an hour of it (they would come in waves), I went to the bathroom and was spotting pink/red blood. Just when I wiped. I went back to bed and the cramping subsided.  Now this morning, it's dark brown with some pink and the cramping has stopped. I'm calling the midwife as soon as her office opens. I know I had brown spotting for weeks with my 2nd pregnancy (had a subchorionic hemorrhage) but I can't remember any other details....if I ever bled? cramped like this? Anyone else experiencing this now or in past pregnancies (m/c or not)?????

I'm worried because I have been feeling mostly great so far. I did notice more nausea the last few days but nothing like I had with my last two pregnancies-- I was queasy 24/7! My bbs aren't as sore but are still full. I'm bloated. I'm a weepy emotional mess. I'm hungry. I'm more tired the last few days as well. This whole pregnancy so far has been so different than my others. I think I'm going to have my first boy so I just chalked it up to that! Now I'm wondering if it's viable.

hang in there. I hope you get answers soon.

I did have a very similar experience with my 4th pg. I was 5 wks 6 days and had period like cramping in waves. My blood was bright red (no brown blood) and was only there when I wiped. Unfortunately I did miscarry (you asked for all experiences other wise I would not have mentioned it).

I am so sorry you are going through this it is very nervewracking. hang in there mama. Pleasae keep us posted.

Oh, so sorry for the worry and stress!  You've got the same due date as me, so I know I would be just as worried if something similar happened to me right now, at this point in time.  I hope it will be alright, and I agree that having the other symptoms still is probably a positive thing.  Keep us updated!  Will be thinking of you.

Empty womb, not even a sac. Just a super BFP on a pregnancy test still and no baby to show for it. How I got to 9 weeks like this is just beyond me. I'm sad but more mad than anything. Now we just have to rule out ectopic because the US tech failed to check out my tubes---she insisted she wouldn't even be able to see them on US. I was thinking---well if there is a baby growing in one, you should! But I kept my mouth shut. Now I'm realizing I should have insisted.

I am so sorry momma. Please keep us posted on the possiblilty of ectopic.
