Cervical dysplasia returned

I had a LEEP in 2007 for abnormal cells on my cervix which did not disappear on their own (HPV related(. As recent as April 2010 I had a normal pap and was given the all clear from HPV (tested negative).

I just had a pap at my first prenatal appointment and it came back positive for HPV and abnormal cells (high grade lesions/CIN II). After an initial freak out and a conversation with my midwife, I'm feeling better about it. The stats are in my favor and we'll just keep an eye on it until the baby is born.

What really upsets me is that it has returned and I want to know why so that I can do everything possible to prevent it in the future once I've cleared it this time. Is it stress related? I am a person who is easily stressed....Is it nutrition related? Since having DS, I've not looked after myself.

What natural ways can boost my immune system, especially in relation to cervical dysplasia?

Thanks.

Research B vitamins and vitamin A for reversing. Here is one article: http://www.tidesoflife.com/cervical_dysplasia.htm

I took B vitamins and High vitmain Cod liver oil (I am HPV negative and had cervical dysplasia but no leep procedure done) and it reversed (I don't remember how long though..Maybe in 2 years?). I was on a holistic health program since I had a lot of health problems but those nutrients are the ones that seem to be linked to cervical dysplasia in the research. Excess estrogen may also be a problem.

Thanks for these great links! B vitamins are safe in pregnancy, I guess I'll need to run other supplements by my midwife.

I really kick myself for not looking after myself. Hopefully, it's not too late to start.
