Chicken livers

I adore chicken livers, but it's something I rarely cook because I've read so many places that liver is incredibly full of toxins and bad stuff.  But, I really want some chicken livers!

Are organic/all natural chicken livers (a brand like Bell and Evans or a local similar brand) any better than just regular grocery store brands?  What about livers from chickens that you buy from a local farm?  That's not my first choice, cause that would take a LOT of roast chicken meals to gather up enough livers to make a meal, but I'll deal if it's the best, healthiest choice.

What kind of livers do you eat and feed your family?

Depending on where you are, local farms may sell livers separately.  We've got a place locally that pastures their chickens, and they sell the chicken liver separately.  I'm not comfortable with grocery store chickens and I'm not sure that natural or whatever the terms are chickens are much better.  I want to develop a taste for chicken liver, though, so I'm working on it.
