Question for medicinal / wild mushroom users...

2 questions here-

Where do you get your medicinal mushrooms when you don't collect them wild? I am looking for turkey tails and reishi. I need it dried and not to break the bank. Any online sources?

That leads to the next question. My dh has a military back injury that causes to his back to be in serious pain that he can't move sometimes and working is very hard. Some friends were over and brought some tea/coffee sub they made of equal parts ground reishi, turkey tails, dandelion root, and burdock root. My dh drank some and was in serious, worse than usual pain, and in the morning when he work up he felt great. He did nothing extra and is never feeling great anyway and even when is is alright, there is some pain. What could be in this that would be so amazing for him?

This article likens reishi to hydrocortisone:

I have never purchased mushrooms, though, only gathered my own.

Did they mention whether the turkey tails they used were mycelium or fruiting bodies?

Otto, I have no clue. I will have to ask them.
Dh ran out of their blend and he tried something new last night- chaga and artist konk tea. The pain relief was so amazing that he didn't want it to stop. We will see if all mushrooms are magic when he wakes up.
