I swear, ever since I became pregnant with DS, I can't get enough showers. I'd take 2 a day if I had time. I know this time of year it's bad for your skin to shower that often, but it's just so super relaxing, especially during pregnancy. I'm 31 weeks pg with DD and if I miss a shower I just feel yucky. I'm not looking forward to when the baby gets here and I probably won't get a daily shower. lol. Anyone else? Before getting pregnant the first time I'd go a couple days with out a shower and it wasn't a big deal. So weird how we change!

I like hot, hot, HOT baths, which I know you're not *supposed* to take during pregnancy. So I take my daily shower, but I've also been taking a lot of showers just to relax. I've also been battling with tension headaches this pregnancy, and the showers help with that too.
Â
So yes, if I could get away with showering 4 or 5 times a day right now, I would. It's pretty much my favorite place to relax.

I feel like this a lot lately. I am taking the showers because I feel gross if I don't but they do make me feel hot, tired, etc. Strange.
Â

Interesting b/c at 19 wks I can't stand showers! Â Well, I like the actual shower but after I get all weak, heart races and I often have to sit or lay down for awhile. Â They also make me feel a little sick. Â So, I'm the opposite I guess. Â I tend to avoid them as long as possible. ;)

Have you guys had your blood levels tested yet? It sounds like iron deficiency, or possibly low blood pressure causing you to feel like that. Unless you take really hot showers, that reaction doesn't seem quite normal to me. That's just my 2 cents.
Â
I love a good shower but I do feel sick afterwards too and usually need to lie down for a couple minutes afterwards so I don't throw up. I'm not taking super hot showers but I have found if I turn the heat down a bit and have the curtain open a bit before I turn it off and get out, the feeling is not so bad afterwards so I guess it is over heating to an extent. Â I also can't use the hair dryer for a few minutes afterwards until I've cooled down otherwise I get sick....
