Co-sleeping with multiple children including a set of twins?

Okay I am due in July with a set of twin boys...this was a complete shock for us and it has been hard to figure out how to make sure we stay true to our parenting values.  One of those is co-sleeping/family bed.  Right now we co-sleep with our two kiddos...19 month old DD and 33 month old DS...we have a Queen next to a twin on the floor. Usually the kids and DH start the night in the twin and then DD slowly moves over into the queen next to me.

I am nervous about fitting the twins into the co-sleeping picture...but I have never had a child who has slept in a crib and I am not wanting to do that if there is any other way to do it.

Any one have any ideas?  Anyone here ever co-slept with twins?

We did (and still do part-time) co-sleep with our twins.  When they were first born there was 5 of us in a king size bed by morning.  The order would be wall, baby dd, me, baby ds, dh and dd1 when she walked over in the middle of the night.  For the first few months ds1 would also walk over and he would sleep on a comforter and pillow on the floor beside the bed.  We always made sure that the little ones were right with me and no where near the older dc's.  The good thing about spring/summer babies is that you do not need to worry about covers at all.

We have had various sleeping arrangements in the past.  Basically, whatever is needed to get everyone the most possible sleep.  There were a lot of times where dh would sleep with the older one's in their bed.  Sometimes I would move from bed to bed during the night.  We are now at the point where dh and I sort of have our own bed back.  Although dh has been travelling for work this past week and I have yet to tell him that ds2 and dd2 have figured out how to walk to our room and crawl into our bed during the night smile.gif.

Congratulations on your twins!!

We cosleep with our twins (3mo) and our DD (2.5yo).   We also have a queen and a twin.  The twin is against the wall, and DD sleeps on the wall side, next to me (I nurse her), then on the queen, DP sleeps with the twin boys.  I end up on the queen with the boys often when they are hard to settle and DP needs help.   so the order goes: wall, DD, me, baby1, baby2, DP.  DD is always in the twin, DP and the boys are always on the queen, and I move back and forth over the crack.  We could probably fit one more babe in the queen, though I'm not sure what the order would be.
