Daria Eden was born 3/2/11 at 9:17 a.m. 6 lbs 9 oz and 20.5 inches. Labor was short. Woke up around 5:30 with the first contraction and they were random and not too bad until about 7:30, then started to get a little more consistent. I think I woke Skipper up around 8:30 and told him I was going to have the baby today. I kept waiting for blood or mucous, but there was nothing. Skipper's cousin came and picked up the girls and we left for the hospital, which is 5 minutes from our house. Got there, was already pre-registered so we wheeled up to the room. The nurse was getting stuff ready in the room and went out to get something. I said "I have to go to the bathroom." Went in there, sat down, had a contraction and BAM, out popped Daria's head and shoulders! The nurse had heard me wailing from the contraction and came racing in just in time to catch Daria's body before she was baptized in toilet water! lol. She was born two minutes after we arrived. All the nurses on the floor were calling her "the infamous toilet baby." lol. At least I didn't have time to worry about having her at the hospital, I was so nervous about that.
She's such a good baby, so calm so far.
