I really want to be eating healthier! I do try to get most of my food at the natural grocery store, but the super walmart is a block away and this last week we've eaten 2 of those complete dinner in a box meals...UGH or pasta or frozen burgers

lunch is frozen boca chicken patties and organic fries with ranch

its just been over 92 degrees here into the night, and I don't feel like having that oven on

I have recipe books, but... I dunno..I want to try something new....good recipes that are QUICK to make.....

anyone? I ave to go shoppig today for 5 days worth of food and snacks for a 13 hour car trip~
*praying*~please don't let me buy soda and chips

i think I'm gonna x-post this in the pregnant area...

How bout some salads? If you are where it's really hot, that would probably be satisfying. bit of avocado, mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoe, mmmmmmm!

Have you checked out the "healthy eating" forum on here? There is lots of good recipes in there.

Food Ideas...

HI,
I don't know if you eat tuna at all (some folks don't like to eat too much fish because of the mercury concerns) but they are now marketing tuna in a pouch in place of a can. It is a little bit more expensive, but they are including some seasonings, or plain, and it would be really easy to make this into a salad, a sandwich, or other meal; even if you are on the go.

Try adding tuna to a "regular" tossed salad for a protein boost (and efa) and a little variety. This is especially good with tomatos and oil/vinnegar dressing

Well, hopefully this can be a little bit helpfull.
