hey ya'll ...

i'm kinda new to this, so please dont mind all of my questions.

DS is almost 8 m/o and was born via c-section(he was breech).  we would like our kids to be close in age, so considering TTC. really REALLY hoping for natural delivery second time around.  still in my 20s and otherwise a healthy individual.

what are the basic 'guidelines' for vbacing?

should i wait a certain period of time (i hear so many different things, ie: dont worry about waiting, 9 months, 2 years, 3 years, etc)?

how do i find a dr willing to vbac?  (we live in a smaller town and our hospital does not vbac, so will have to go closer to the city).

what are my chances of vbacing?

obviously, i'm pretty much a blank slate and will appreciate any and all information anyone can share with me.

THANK YOU!!!

I am glad you are here, and ask all the questions you need to.  It is difficult to get an answer on how long to wait between pregnancies, but the evidence suggests that the risk is highest if the interval between pregnancies is less than 6 months.  I think you are a great candidate for VBAC b/c the reason for your c-section is not likely to repeat.  A great place to start to answer your other questions is your local ICAN chapter.  http://ican-online.org/ Good luck!!
