single moms doing Waldorf based homeschooling...

Tell me how you do it!! I've been single since last summer, and homeschool my dd. I'm beginning grad school full time and living off of student loans at present. I don't think I'll be able to homeschool forever b/c I will need to do a daytime internship for a while.

I have considered enrolling dd in public school now so I have more time for volunteer work that will further my career goals. (I ultimately will work as a therapist in the mindfulness and mind/body arena focusing on health psychology.)

But the thought of enrolling her is killing me.... Even though I live in one of the best school districts in my state, the classes are still beyond their upper limit of enrollment with 25 kids per class and budget cuts are threatening to cut art and music for this next year. UGH

Inspiration? Ideas? How do I take the time I need for my own schoolwork with her always at home? She's also HUGELY social; so she kind of wants to be in school...

So torn here....

Is she going to go to a Waldorf School now, or is she homeschooling? Are you going to use pubic school or home school? Just a little bit confused...

Lauren, see below... she's currently homeschooling; I've considered public school but am opposed to it and trying to figure out how to continue homeschooling...

I use Waldorf based homeschool and that's why I posted in this forum. I'm curious, based on another post, if there are other Waldorf homeschooling single mothers out there....

Thanks. I'm going to move it over to Learning at Home, where lots of folks also post about home based Waldorf.
