Recently my ds has started 'wiggling' during diaper changing. I remember my other two doing this occasionally but ds does it every single time for the past two or three weeks now and it's getting beyond exasperating. He's all over.....and I really have to struggle with each change. Any tips for anyone else that has a wiggler? I try giving him something to hold....sometimes it helps, but not always.... I'd love some new ideas......

wiggly worm/diaper changing

This is every diaper change for us as well, and has been since 7-8 months (she's 11 months now). A multitude of toys she can switch out helps, as does doing the diaper change in stages-- take diaper off and wipe really quickly, then let her play for a bit (and air out), and then get the new diaper on really quickly, then let her play a bit, and finally get her dressed. Plus we sing songs the entire time. And yeah, one diaper change takes a long time because of it, but I'd rather it take a long time than her be hysterical because I have to physically pin her down.
