any leads anyone? Has anyone with little woodworking experience made their own?

Play kitchen on a budget and in Canada...;P
I found an awesome little dry sink at an antique store. It needs a faucet, burners, and I'm making an oven in the space underneath. I've never done anything like that, but for $25 I couldn't pass it up. I'm planning for it to be for Christmas, so I'll have some time to fiddle with it.
Â
I highly recommend searching antique stores... especially if you're not in a time crunch. Besides the one I got, I saw a few things that could easily have been converted.Â
well, I wandered over to hestia global http://www.hestiaglobal.com/Â and they had the top part of kitchens at 15$ ea for a stove top and 15$ for a sink top so I got those for now and mayeb we'll build a bottom at some point!

When I made my son's I had no woodworking experience. All you really need is a jigsaw that you could buy or borrow and a drill and a finish sander, which most households have anyway. Get the lumber yard to cut the pieces of wood (1X12 pine) for you the lengths that you want so you don't have to worry about making a straight cut. Then all you have to do is cut out a circle for the sink bowl, and a window for the oven door and a swoop of some sort for the sides. You can use toy wheels for burner knobs. It's really not difficult make your own, just time consuming, but hugely rewarding. You could also make it out of already made furniture, like the previous poster said.
