Would you bother?

In recent years my thoughts on parenting and everything that goes with it have changed, flipped almost 180 degrees.  When my son was young I was completely main stream, and I had him get all of his vaccines like a "good mommy" would.  If we ever have another child I would like to do selective/delayed vaccinations.

DS is getting close to the middle school vaccinations, and I'm wondering if it is worth it to fight them at this point since he's had all of his other vaccines.

From what I can tell, these are required:

Tetanus and Diphtheria booster

Hep B

Measles Dose 2

These are not required, but suggested:

Varicella

Meningococcal Conjugate (MCV4)

I got that from the CDC website.  Would it be worth it to refuse any of those at this point?  Would it cause a problem refusing some/all of those if he has all of the other vaccines on his record?  The state we are moving to (Missouri) only has religious exemption.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!!  :)

btw - this may be a fight with my DH.  He's not going to understand why I don't want him (or our future children) to get some vaccines.

I don't understand what the "bother" would be. In Missouri, you just sign a form. http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/19csr/19c20-28.pdf (page 4) I would do a lot more than that, if necessary, in order to protect my child from any medical intervention that I didn't think was in his or her best interest.

i think that since you know your ds doesn't react to these that it would be worth it to finish the series to give him immunity (ideally) for that much longer.

You can use the religious exemption without any problems ( doesn't matter if you previously vaxed) but it's my understanding that you have to be opposed to vax as a practice to claim the religious exemption not just opposed to a specific vax. And yes it would be worth it IMO.
