i love that phoenix's favorite way to sleep is with his nosed pressed into my boob! he doesn't move an inch...just tummy to tummy nose, to boob!

i love caressing the back tufts of hair while he feeds...and those little spikes on top too!

i love those grunting noises he makes when he's rooting around for the nipple, and i love to watch him root around!!! i cheer him on, and help if he starts to get frustrated!

what do you love???

I love the faces Alice makes while she's sleeping.  I love watching Orion love all over her.  I love how tiny she is.  I love watching how confused she gets when she sucks on her hand and no food comes out.  joy.gif

I love the little squeaky noises. I love how fluffy his hair is right after a bath. I love the gummy smiles. I love watching Isaac give him hugs and kisses and hearing Maddie say she loves him. luxlove.gif

I love how soft Kennedy's skin is, how velvety his hair.

I love his big sleep grins. I love the growling he does when rooting for the boob.

I love that he is easy to read- I know when he's tired or hungry or wants me to change position when holding him.

I love how awesome the other 2 kids are being with him. I love hearing them sing him the songs they used to sing when he was in my belly.

I love when he opens his eyes and looks towards our voices. I love how long and deep he gazes at me- gives me chills.

And I love my nickname for him- Neddy luxlove.gif

I love how the day he was born he moved his head everywhere his sister's voice traveled in the room- obviously she was the LOUDEST voice he heard in the womb!

I love the sleep smiles, the cowlick on the top of his head, his curvy lips, his velvet skin, the way his thighs feel like puppy dog skin- skin loose over a layer of fat.

But most of all I LOVE the smell that comes from the top of his head.

This was one of my favorite things with my son...such an amazing, magical smell, like he was a flower that gave off his own unique, beautiful scent love.gif  So intoxicating...

This.

I can just hold him on my chest and breathe in the smell of him all day long.

I love the confused looks he gives his sisters when they talk to him. You can tell he's trying to wrap his mind around these 2 loud little people who adore him and pet him like a puppy dog.

I love the middle of the night snuggle/nursing sessions in our bed.

With both babies I've experienced the same thing- it feels like we're still the same person. A stomach growls and I really can't tell if it was mine or his. I can't tell if that fluid is breastmilk or spit up (though really it's the same thing), his sweat or mine. And that scent from his head- he smells like my body. But a more distilled, pure, simplified version of me that is undoubtedly intoxicating.

I could inhale him all day! luxlove.gif

I love how Daria puts her pinky finger up when she's nursing, just like she's drinking tea. So funny and cute!

I love the sounds she makes when she nurses! I love the little patch of light blonde hair she has that I probably only noticed because I stare at that side of her head when she nurses on that side. I love how she sometimes mimics me when I stick my tongue out or eat. I love everything about her, I just can't get over how amazing she is and how lucky I am. I also still can't believe she's a girl, even though I knew it all along it's still a shocker to really know.

I do the same thing with Allora. I hold her up, close my eyes and smell her hair as I kiss her forehead. Moms are weird, haha.

I love reading this thread!  Keep 'em coming!  :)

I, too, love the smell of Jeni's hair.  And her sweet milky breath after nursing!

I love watching Maiya read to her in the morning.

Oh, and her little growls when she's asleep. DS and I think she sounds like a baby dinosaur. lol.gif

Well, to start, I love this thread.

But also,

- the weight of him when he sleeps on my chest

- the lingering bits of lanugo (on his ears and on his shoulders)

- how soft the bottoms of his feet are

- the swirl in his hair at the back of his head

- the smell of his breath after nursing

- the size of the fingernail on his pinky

- the way dd says his name

- that he giggles in his sleep!! (seriously. since 10 days old. it's amazing.)
