Trail Mix Oatmeal-my quick and easy breakfast/dinner (I work nights) at work...1 pack instant oatmeal, 1/2 pack Tahoe Trail Raw & Natural trail mix, 1 8oz carton vanilla soy milk...I like this combo because the the trail mix gives it some crunch and extra calories & protien so it keeps me satisfied, and the vanilla soymilk is sweet enough that I don't need to add extra sweetener...win/win in my book!

A salad with sesame oil and ground garlic and ginger. Does anyone know what to do with sunchokes? I cut them up and added to the salad but it didn't seem quite right? I got about a half dozen of them in my CSA box this week and am a bit stumped.

Are sunchokes smaller artichokes?

Either way, I've never prepared them. Sorry!

Then leftover buffet: 3-bean loaf w/ BBQ sauce, quinoa topped with bruschetta and peas with Earth Balance and pepper. Also Fentiman's Victorian Lemonade (with fermented ginger and botanicals). I am in one of those I'm so hungry moods that everything tastes amazing!

I just tried the masala dip because you mentioned it here. Today DD and I had it with rice, dipped green peppers in it, spread it on sprouted grain bread and then just ate it off the spoon. Oh man, we love it!

Purple yams and fingerling potatoes oven-roasted with onion and spices, a tofu scramble that was really more kale, carrot, purple cabbage and spices than anything else and fresh steamed asparagus. ~ 400 calories including my coffee, 5 grams of fat, 5 servings of vegetables, and OH SO YUMMY.

I just ate the rest of the raw kale salad I made for dinner last night.  So yummy!   I also had some mango and kiwi.

Where do they keep this dip?  By the hummus and whatnot?  Sounds good!

Yes, it's by the hummus and all the other dips.

You're going to love it!
