Sposies: newborn or size 1 for typically 8 lb babies?

So, my first was 7 lb 14 oz and my second was 8.5 lbs. I used NB size on my 1st for a couple of weeks and size 1 diapers on my second from birth as that was all that was available in Romania where I could shop. They seemed fine. Should I just go with size 1 diapers again do you think? I was only going to buy one pack for the early postpartum recovery period as I'm sure I won't be wanting to do diaper laundry the first week anyway and hubby isn't so laundry proficient.

I have a coupon for the huggies pure and naturals. I know they aren't perfect but, at least I've read they are better than some for sensitive skin.

Size 1. I actually bought Size 2 before my last one was born since my prior babe was 8.5 lbs and was out of the 1s before we could get through the package. Turns out dd was just 8 lbs and long and skinny so she really would've done well in the Size1s but we just cinched the 2s a little tighter and it was fine.

The hospital where my son was born used size one from the beginning as the standard.
