  I plan on making a gender neutral one, and then a bunch gender specific later. It looks so cute and easy.

I picked up Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginning's book, and Lotta Jansdotter's baby book too, and once I can pull myself out of bed & away from the toilet, I hope to have my machine humming away!  I"m most excited that there is a pattern for a baby snuggler, you know the kind that you wrap around and velcro close?  Those just came out when I had DD, and there were no sewing patterns available (that I knew of!), so I"m excited.

I'll probably start on my diaper bag first, since I can use it ahead of time for a day bag.

I have yarn for a cape sitting and waiting for me. Haven't looked up the link to see if the pattern is on ravelry, but I found a really cute one in a book from the library-Knit Two Together, I think, by Tracey Uhlman and a friend of hers. Planning on blue since we won't know what we're having until he/she arrives. Socks are on the list, too, as well as some new wool soakers.

Still processing the news, but I'm definitely planning to knit a sleep sack or two, a blanket and several cardigans. Probably hats too, since my last was a spring/summer baby and this one will be a winter. Oh, and I want to make lots of longies, some with feet!

I really want to make a sweater for myself - maybe I should do this now before things get too crazy with two!

I'm making 24 fitted diapers and 12 covers for the newborn stage, then probably about 30 one-size pocket dipes.  I knit and crochet too, so once we find out the sex, I'm going to go crazy making hats, sweaters, blankets, etc.  I can't wait!  I'm going to make a car seat "snuggle bag" too, it's like a sleeping bag kinda.

I am going to "make" a sling--I learned on a babywearing website that a 5 yard cut of jersey fabric will make a very effective moby wrap-style sling. It requires no sewing, only a bit of instruction on the dozens of ways to wrap a baby in it. I used to wear my toddler in the one I "made" from woven fabric from the clearance bin...$1/yard! I had to hem that one, but prob the cheapest sling ever!

I plan on knitting a couple of pairs of loniges. I do not have a specific pattern picked out yet.  I am hopeful that I will have time to knit some socks and hats and perhaps even a sweater.

KeanusMomma, I did the exact same thing with my last DS.  It worked great.  There is a great video on youtube or a momma explaining some of the basics of the DIY (I don't have access to the link right now :( )

I'll be making (crochet, or if I can get the hang of it, knit) all our diaper covers. I also want to make a couple of sleep sacks, hats (I adore making baby hats!), a bunting for going out since baby will be small in winter. For myself, not sure. If I get the hang of my sewing machine (pulling it out this week), I would love to make a couple of skirts, and maybe a simple sundress for this summer.

Im a knitter!  Ive recently made tons of things for the various pregnant women in my life- who are ALL having boys.  I have made wrap sweaters and pants, and hats most recently.  I haven't really thought about knitting for my own baby quite yet, but Im sure in a few weeks I will get there!  My goal this time around is to educate myself on cloth diapering (I know literally nothing about it) and make my own diapers and inserts.  I own an industrial machine and serger, so Im pretty sure I can do it easily.

I knit but I feel really limited.  All the things I want to make I would need a sewing machine for. I left my sewing machine behind when I moved here 3 years ago.  I really want to buy a cheap one to start sewing some clothes and diapers.  I wonder if it is even worth the investment if I buy a cheapo one but that is all I can afford right now.

I wish I knit more, I have very basic skills, and I'm not good enough that it is any fun at all. I do sew (also pretty basic skills, but better than knitting). I have no idea yet what I'll be making, but I'll probably do some kind of matching applique stuff for baby and big brother.

Not for my own baby, but for gifts for other Moms I know.

I haven't been able to do any baby sewing for a while because I had to spend all my sewing time making stuff to sew for a craft fair I did. It was yesterday. I earned $4 more than what I paid for the table @@ Then I spent $21 on buying stuff other people were selling. And there was a food vendor there and well.. I didn't bring any food so I spent $6.75 or so there! Oh well? So now that thats over, I'm excited for the freedom to sew whatever I want! I already have the fabric cut for my next project, its a pink velour nb sleeper. typical layette thing. I've been getting serious girl vibes from this fetus. dd says its a girl (I think she's just expressing her want though, lol) a good friend of mine is convinced girl, and my symptoms are on track with dd's pregnancy and not so much ds's. Plus my intuition. So I keep sewing girly stuff! I'll probably sew some boy stuff too, just in case, and then sell/trade (probably trade/gift, because I've been using patterns that you need a license to sell, so I want to be honest and legal!) the wrong gender. I really want a surprise! I can't wait to set out tiny nb girl and boy outfits to stare at while I labor, wondering which one I will get to put on the new baby! It will be so exciting. I haven't told many people that I'm team green.. its going to make some family members/friends SO MAD! lol. Oh well, they'll get over it. It'll be really fun to call up family to make the announcement. So much more exciting!
