Escape proof swaddle

I just wanted to share this swaddling technique I stumbled across a couple of months ago on youtube that has been FAB for my baby! With my first we could never get a good swaddle - he'd break out of everything we tried - and our second seemed to be doing the same, until we came across this. I hear other parents saying their baby escapes the swaddle too, so hopefully this will help someone. Best of all you don't need to buy any fancy swaddle gear

to make this work. I thought it looked cruel at first, but  now my little guy LOVES to be swaddled! :)

Oh no worries I'm quite sure I know what happened - it was just ironic!! I'm happy to not be buying anything new right now, for as long as this works! :) It's been working for months so I reckon the success rate is still pretty awesome!

How long did it take him to get used to it?

I can't WAIT to try this.  My kid can break out of everything.  Maybe this will be the one!

Not quite sure you what you mean... - but he has never disliked it. The first time we swaddled him like this he didn't stop crying immediately or anything - we did our normal walking around with him to help calm him. Maybe the swaddle helped him calm faster, but not really sure - so hard to know! But the first night we swaddled him he started sleeping longer stretches at night! :) So from that perspective it was a pretty immediate result. Yay!
