Need crunchy, snacky foods/recipes for cravings!

Thread Starter

Ok, I'm officially pregnant so I want to make some snacks now before I get all nauseus and don't want to bake. Last time around, I really was attracted to crunchy stuff, sweet or salty. I'm gluten free, so that would help too, but I know how to tweak recipes.

So, I've got nuts, granola, potato chips, popcorn...

any recipes for easy crackers? Or something rice cake-ish or wasa-ish? how to make chex mix/cereal more TF? (chex was my middle of the night nausea killer last time....)

Thanks! Ideas, recipes, links, books, anything is appreciated.

I recently saw someone suggest something similar to this as a Paleo/TF alternative to cereal - it really does the trick.

A big handful of crispy walnuts or almonds ( raw, soaked and dehydrated til crisp) chopped up

Hemp seeds or flax seeds

Dates, chopped

sliced banana

chopped apple ( or ANY fruit ya like)

Top with raw milk

This is how I do it. You could vary this in a billion ways.

How about pork scratchings? They are both crunchy and very nutritious, and being fatty, they will fill you up as well.

Kale or seaweed chips.
