Title pretty much says it all, I need a basic list of possibly helpful supplements to give dd(almost 6) whom we highly suspect of having SPD, and HFA/AS, she's in the process of getting dx to confirm. Just for background she is highly sensitive, explosive, very much a perfectionist, can NOT tolerate gluten, and can only handle raw dairy(regular dairy makes her really constipated, don't know why?). Also, has anyone with a child somewhere on the ASD, especially those who already have known reactions to gluten, tried the specific carbohydrate diet? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Ok, so dd is currently taking vit.C, fish oil, and daily vitamin + probiotic. We're going to start her on enzymes, magnesium, and gaba's sometime in the future. Should I be introducing these 1 at a time, and spaced out a bit? How long should she be on these before we can tell if it's making any difference? TIA!

Enzymes would be a good first step in that situation. I use Houston's. I would introduce one at a time. Slow means you don't have to pull a bunch of stuff when/if you have a reaction and you can better tell if a particular thing is helping.
What will help one spectrum child will do nothing for another. The causes and things that make our kids feel bad are so varied. We did SCD. It nearly killed my son but it turns out he has a metabolic condition and we didn't know it at that time.
The very best thing we did in terms of knowing what supplements to prioritize and which might help him the most was run a Metametrix urine panel. It was so helpful. You may find she, like my son, needs carnitine or coq10 for example or that something else will best help her. If you're seeing GI stuff (I assume given the Specific carb diet thought) run the comprehensive stool too. It will tell you what's living in there and how to kill it.
