Where do you carry your weight?

My very unscientific poll, especially for recent (like in the last 2 years) mamas: if you have extra weight, where do you carry it? I'm wondering if there's any link to weight around the middle (apple shaped) and post-natal/breastfeeding hormones and eating habits. Mostly, when I've carried extra weight, it's been pretty evenly distributed but now it's definitely in the middle. That skinny legged big tummy look -- that's me! When I was living in Central America, a lot of women also had this shape, and a lot of women were pregnant, nursing, post-natal, or all three! I have certainly noticed I have a sweet tooth as well (related to nursing? Maybe?) and that might have an affect on things. Opinions?

I am more of a pear. I've always been quite thin up top and had an hourglass middle.  However this second time around nursing I have noticed more weight around the middle. I believe its related to letting my diet go down the drain for a few winter months. I ate more junky things like oreos and crackers.    My genetic predisposition is to have thighs and a big rear. Even when I am at my ideal weight I have a curvy bottom and thighs.

From what I remember belly fat is more dangerous because its related to your organs. I have no idea if its related to breastfeeding.

I'm the opposite - big butt & chunky thighs, small waist. That stayed the same after my first pregnancy & 2.5 years of BFing. It also stays true no matter how much weight I gain or lose - thin or curvy, my lower half is always big in proportion to my waist.

I think it's mostly genetics.
