Vancouver Montessori Schools etc near Commercial Drive area..?

Hello There Mamas,

This is my 1st post so please bear with me!! My little family - hubby & two three year olds (son & daughter) are 

v v excited to be emigrating from London UK to Vancouver BC within the next few months. Our two littlies attend a small Montessori (that they adore!) here in London & so we are looking for any recommended schools around the diverse Commercial Drive area where we hope to settle... We are off next Thursday for another recce & hope to visit some schools then... Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts..?

 I am also a Mum of a 4 year old. I live in Vancouver BC and my daughter goes to a Montessori School close to Commercial drive. I feel a bit weird posting this because I actually run the school. I started it because I wanted to have a lovely place to send my daughter. I think it's really great but I of course have reason to.

Regardless I thought I would let you know it's name and give you the website and you can decide for yourself if you'd like to come and check us out.

Its called:Westside Montessori Academy

The Britannia Community Center preschool is really great. It is worth it to check it out.

Ahhh - thank-you so much for that very useful info!! We would love to come & see your school but rather stupidly we arrive during what I think is Spring Break in Canada & so schools will be closed!?! I will call next week but wonder if we could visit next Friday 18th before school breaks up? Shall I try & e-mail via the website?

Welcome!

My son goes to North Star Montessori school in North Vancouver, but is only a 10 - 15 minute drive from the Commercial drive area.

There are several families who live in East Vancouver who attend North Star.

It has preschool all the way to Grade 6 (and possibly Grade 7). So, if you are looking for a school in which you want to continue Montessori, this is a great option.

They are having an open house on April  13th.

I highly recommend you check them out.
