Taking fermented CLO - do I still need D3?

honestly I was sort of taking D3 when I remembered - usually 4000-8000 units/day maybe half the days of the week...

but I just bought some of the Green Pasture's FCLO and wonder if taking more(? I think CLO has vit D, right? oy I'm losing it!) D3 would be too much.

Thanks for any thoughts!

Hi,

I use FCLO too and I've wondered about this before too. I remember reading that 10,000 IU of D3 daily (especially in the winter) is optimal for an adult. The ratio of Vit A to Vit D is supposed to be important too but it occurs in a natural balance in FCLO...how many units of D3 daily are you taking with FLCO only?

well, I've not been taking any D3 (nor any other vitamin) since starting the FCLO last week.  I'm just not sure if I should and I usually prefer to err on the side of less rather than more... but I don't know if I need it.  I suppose I should have my vit D level checked again.

Perhaps you are already familiar with this information, I found revisiting it to be helpful. Perhaps extra vit D would be alright after all, but you can always check your levels. Is it very expensive to do? (Never done it).

The only way to know forsure is to take the fermented CLO for several months (not sure how long exactly) and then have your vit D level checked (via blood test).
