i feel like i'm wasting so much water waiting for it to get warm every time... is there another way? we really like the wet cloth on the behind, but i want a more water efficient way...
what ideas have you got?
I honestly don't use water for most of the changes, but when I do I just use a spritz bottle or a peri bottle with room-temp water. It's not warm, but if you put the water on the wipe and not on the bum, it doesn't seem to matter too much. Alternatively, you could get a little crockpot- the potpourri size- at a thrift store and keep the peri bottle in that to keep it warm, or as another poster has said, a wipes warmer. Really though, once you get past the meconium it's really easy to just wipe off with a good dry wipe- what gets left behind isn't much but I'll use water on it.
I have two little bottles, one with regular water and another one with water and California Baby diaper stuff (just 1:10 ratio). It's not warm, though. But neither are disposables unless you use a wipe warmer. Though if you really want them warm perhaps you could just have a coffee cup of water and just warm it in the microwave every time you want some warm water? It'd be more water efficient.
