Help! Can I freeze cooked garbanzo beans?

I've been making an effort of late to use more dried beans than canned.  I ambitiously soaked and then cooked a huge pot of garbanzo beans yesterday and we're going out of town tomorrow (what was I thinking?).  I'm wondering if I can freeze them to use when we get back?  They're not in any sort of liquid, just in a covered glass container in the fridge.

Thanks all :)

I don't see why not? I suppose they may be more mushy when you use them, but if that doesn't matter, then I say go for it.

Definitely! I routinely cook huge batches of beans and freeze them until needed. It doesn't seem to do anything weird to the texture. I freeze them in ziplocs with no liquid.

I've got a variety of soaked and cooked beans in my freezer right now. I also freeze them with no liquid.
