I didn't get to the market this week, and I badly need to clean out my pantry anyway... can you help me think of some ideas/recipes to use what I have on hand...
Â
Here's what my pantry has:
grains:Â brown rice, quinoa, millet (very little whole wheat flour, but I do have some I could grind into flour), oats ... misc bits of other grains (i think i have some spelt, amaranth... stuff I bought to try for one recipe and haven't used since), teff flour, potato flour
nutritional yeast, baking powder/soda,
Â
beans:Â garbanzo, black, red in cans...some navy, black and pinto dried
other cans:Â 1 can tomatoes, artichoke hearts, tahini, pineapple, coconut milk, massaman curry paste(which no one but me likes)
Â
nuts: almonds (lots), cashews, walnuts, pecans, pine nuts
seeds:Â sesame, pumpkin, sunflower
Â
1 lb pasta, a few lbs spaghetti
Â
misc sauces/condiments(tamari, molasses, agave nectar, lots of different vinegars, salt, who knows what else is up there)
Â
misc dried fruit --figs and prunes (NO clue what to do with these... no one really likes them plain... if anyone has a sauce you make out of them that would be GREAT!)
Â
I don't cook meat, and I try to limit dairy... we have lots of almond milk...
Â
I also have onions, garlic, and some potatoes... lots of frozen green beans, artichoke hearts, 1 bag asparagus spears, 1/2 bag frozen broccoli, peas, pearl onions, and mango.
Â
So... if thats what you had to work with... what would you make? I probably have a few other odds and ends, and I do need to run out today so could pick up a few small things, but I'd like to try and make it til Saturday when I'll do my stock up run to Trader Joes and refill the freezer...  Â
Â
thanks so much!! lately I've been in such a rut...Â
