URGENT PLEASE ADVICE, Antibiotics? tetanus shot?

For the cut on the forhead, cut ont he cabinet door.. about one inch long

going to the doc to get stiches

and now the question is:

what would you do with post op..

woudl you let and use antibiotics, which kind.. on the skin? or internally? or shots?

or spray kind or ointment?

I fear of the staph and I am not sure what is best course of an action,

doc will certainly want to stuff me with antibiotics.reasonably I would like to do

what is necessary but where to find safe balance?

lastly.. what about the shot for tetanus shot? they always push for it,

the wound is clean, the cut on the metal office cabient door..

it was nicely bleeding..adn when I say nicely I mean that from what I knwo

the tetanus is usually impossible if the wound is bleeding...

please give me your best suggestions

I would just let them stitch it up and keep it clean.  No ABX and no tetnus.  But you have to do what you feel is the best for you.

A tetanus shot after an injury will do nothing to prevent tetanus from THAT injury. You would need TIG after an injury.

 I would do a proper cleaning,stitch,use otc antibio cream or spray on the wound,and give some immune boosting gummi's.
