Baby registery for things unavailable at Target

I want to cloth diaper, wear baby in a sling, etc., but the only good quality items in those categories that I know of are available at various online boutiques. Does anyone have ideas on how to get people to buy breastfeeding supplies and cloth diaper and the like when I have a baby shower?

Target sells kissaluvs online. I got some at my shower. BRU sells slings online; we got a moby and an ergo. You could also register online at a diaper shop like diaperjunction.com

Good luck!

I was going to suggest registering on a cloth diaper online retailer that has a registry as well.  (I don't know of them specifically but I know there are some and it looks like a PP suggested one.)  Honestly, other than that, I would just plan on buying those things myself and let other people choose from the things that Target/BRU DO offer, KWIM?

Jillian's Drawers is an online cloth diaper store with a fairly large range of products to choose from and they have a gift registry option.

amazon has a universal wish list button and you can add stuff from any website on there

Amazon.com has an easy to use wish list feature that will allow you to add anything. Jillians Drawers is a great suggestion because they are 1) great and 2) carry lots of good slings and toys and goodies that you won't find at Target, 3) have really reasonable prices.

There's also this: http://www.thethingsiwant.com/ which I have used and it worked out pretty well!

I haven't used the Amazon one but would definitely look into that as others have suggested--in my experience, Amazon in general is always awesome.

Another vote for the amazon wish list!

I like that! I def can't plan on buying much stuff myself, I am broke as a joke! I will also check out Jillian's drawers. Happybottomus.com has a physical store not too far from my area and offers a registry as well.

I third...or fourth...the Amazon Universal Wish List. It is so easy. You just download a button to your toolbar, see something u like, n click the button. If it is also sold on Amazon they can buy it there or it will have link to other site.

Glad I stumbled upon this post, because I'm in a similar situation, wanting to cloth diaper--I'm going to register at greenmountaindiapers.com, but as it stands now, probably meijer and target too, for other stuff since meijer is in town, and target (out of town, grr) has the bedding and carseat/stroller we want.  I didn't know that amazon has a universal wish list feature--will need to look into that.  If I register for things at like, say Meijer on this amazon wish list thing, will that show up in the store, for those who don't want to go online?  Sorry to ask a question in someone else's post, hope that's not in bad taste!
