Trying to remain calm.... orange pee?

So since Meadow  (4 year old) woke up this morning her pee has been orange. It is not dark orange (like you might think with dehydration) it is a peach orange color. I called the ped and they said to push fluids and if it is still orange tomorrow to call back. She does not have a fever or any symptoms of a UTI. She has not eaten anything that would make her pee orange either. WWYD?

No but we think we have it figured out.... last night I noticed our 7 year old also has the same color pee... I think it is from the cheap snack pack jello cups.... never buying those again!!

That sounds very likely. Sorry you had a scare, though. One time my dd ate a birthday cake with black icing. You would not believe the interesting colours we saw the next day.

One time ds1 got bright blue bubble gum ice cream (blech grossedout.gif) and totally freaked us out the next time he pooped.  I also have to remind dh to remind me not to freak out when I'm changing diapers after we have had beets for dinner winky.gif.

if it's a thick orange color, it's probably a bladder infection. good luck
