I've become an organizing night mare

I want our house to be tidy now. And now means NOW, thank you very much!

I am deeply disturbed by clutter, and I want to get rid of it all. If I could declutter every day, I would be happy, but hey - someone's gotta work and take care of the kids so my decluttering time is just not enough for me. Hubby steps in but the poor guy does not define tidy the way I do (sensibly enough), and most of the sorting out work has to be done by me anyway because he does not want to decide what to keep and toss and give away.

I think I definately have too much of the nesting urge. But is my house is a mess when my birth starts, I know it will upset me. I need a cozy nest to prepare for birth and the newborn stage in. Magic fairy, please appear!

Decluttering is the reason I wish I were on maternity leave before I go into labor!  It's all I want to do, but I'm at work all day and then tired in the evening.  I've gotten some done (my kitchen/bathroom closet is beautiful!), but have a lot more to do.

HA!  I've been driving my family nuts with reorganizing and decluttering.  DH does not get it at all!!!  Still have a few more places to go but I completelyu redid our pantry, laundry/mud room, office and am working on my closet and other misc. areas.  I'm not decorating the nursery till after the baby comes so this is my crazy nesting phase.

I have an obsession with sorting through my kiddos' clothes -- deciding what to keep, storing, etc (I have 3 girls, so lots to hand down).  Drives poor Dh nuts because my organizing always looks like a disaster before it looks better.

As much as possible, I'm trying to break all my cleaning/organizing into small chunks so that I finish the project quickly and don't leave a mess for long.  So, like, organizing only the linen closet in the bathroom, instead of trying to organize the entire bathroom at once.  I'm so not a tidy person, so the nesting obsession is very, very obvious -- normally I wouldn't care at all.

I am with you! I had my shower on saturday and it was like a light switch that went off and I have been going crazy with organizing and decluttering. I wake up at 4:00 am thinking about it, lol! Plus add on that I still need to buy last minute items, make sure the pantry is stocked and have decided to take ds somewhere fun 1 to 2 times a week, there is just not enough time in the day. I am making small efforts, of course today we are going to the zoo so I am taking a break from the madness of nesting, but i have zero plans for tomorrow so i imagine i will be trucking away at my to do list then..

You go, mama! What's not to love about trucking away at to-do-lists? Two major point ticked of today: buying frames for pictures and kids art and all sorts that I've been meaning to put up on the walls for at least two years..., and going through kitchen cupboards. Ah, the relief of every box ticked!

Luckily for my poor husband, my crazy nesting also involves baking and cooking to feed the freezer, so at least he gets to taste in his (too short) breaks. ;)
