My ttc

Thread Starter

Hi this is my story...greensad.gif

firstly,i have never had a normal cycle. i saw my gynae last july. all tests were done. the only problem was that i wasnt immune so i had to get the jab for chicken pox. my DH and i waited the 3 month peroid. the 3 month peroid ended in September.

i was very stressed about exams so we didnt really try from Sept to Dec. in Jan and feb and started to have my peroid every two weeks or so.

the thing is that i dont know when im ovulating. i bought the saliva test thingy and havent really seen any noticible changes. i also bought quite a few of the the ovulation tests however, i dont know when to test. My DH and i deceided that we should do the BD every 2 days.

the start of my first peroid was 21/02 and i now have my period again today!

the ovulation tests online are of no help as my cycles are between 15-20.  Im told that even if you see curvical mucus, it doesnt mean that you ovulating??

im 29 years old. i dont have any kids. this is my first time and im wooried about ttc. when you younger you spend your life not trying to get  pregnant and now when you want to its so difficult.

i look foward to hearing from you guys

Hi, and welcome! I have the opposite problem (looooong cycles) and I'm new to the TTC thing...but my advice would be to start temping so you can see if you are ovulating, and what the state of your luteal phase is. Fertilityfriend.com is a great resource to help with temps and charts.

Good luck!!

Agreed... temping will tell you so much! It will confirm if you've ovulated, tell you the length of your luteal phase, maybe even give you hints as to other things going on (thyroid function, etc.). Cervical fluid is great to watch but doesn't confirm ovulation, even if you have a dry-up. You should also check out the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"... it's THE go-to book on cycles, fertility, and charting! orngbiggrin.gif
