Not sure where to post this - retained placenta question

I had a retained placenta and hemorrhage with my son.

Does anyone know if the odds of another are higher with subsequent pregnancies, or if this was a fluke event?  We'd like a home birth for #2, but DH is very concerned about the placenta issue.

Purely anecdotal, but I had retained placenta (a very small amount) with dd1 and no problems with dd2.  That said, the retained placental fragments were a small amount - no hemorrhaging, just issues with my milk supply and lochia that never stopped (until a good LC connected the two issues).
