Man, I am so happy that I have some back issues on circumcision. My summary forum for college this week was on doing studies. Basically, my assignment said that if you could do a study, what would it be on and how would it benefit others. You had to do 6 of the 4 scientific methods: making observation, defining a problem, proposing a hypothesis, and gathering evidence.
I decided to do my study assignment on "does circumcision cause psychological problems?". I used information from three of my Mothering issues to complete my assignment. It was a very good study that I proposed and I got an A on my summary forum!
You also had to explain why you would do a study on the topic you chose. I told them about my experience of hearing a newborn scream bloody murder at the urologist office while having a circumcision done and no one caring how the newborn felt. My instructor thought this was a great study topic and hope that more studies like this were done in the future.
