Here is the hat to go with the longies.  I left a tail because I'm still debating whether I want to put a pom pom on top.  What do you all think?

My next project: baby quilt.  Just laying it out.

My fabric up close.  The two with green on top I'm planning to use one of those for the square in the middle.  My ds picked out the butterflies and flower fabric.

My fabric squares layed out.

Thanks!  As soon as I cut out the green, which, because quilting is more geometry than I ever thought, heh, and I never took geometry.  I'm learning that odds are better than even when it comes to making quilt patterns.  orngtongue.gif

I think that's why I'm enjoying my quilt so much right now.  Just piecing it together (which is taking longer than I thought) and its on the floor and not in my lap.  I am going to start sewing it together today which is super exciting!!joy.gif

I have sewn all my pieces together, but I want to hand embroider the year and who made it on the back.  Adding ds since he has been helping me sew and giving me pins to pin it together.  So cute that he wants to help.  Maybe he'll start sewing when he's big enough.love.gif

That is sweet that your DS wants to help. Some of the most amazing quilts I have ever seen were made by men. For example: stellarquilts.

I have not done anything fancy or creative; longies, wipes, changing pads. I am going to order some PUL to make two small wet bags. I also need to make a couple of wool soaker pads.

I've been doing some crocheted stuff, little booties and attempting a blanket.  Its so hard....the crocheting takes forever and by the time I get into the groove, my baby needs my attention (hungry, wakes up...etc) so its a slow and painful process for me lol

Wow, those are amazing.  This has been a very crafty pregnancy so far.  My ds is just at that age he wants to help with all of it, so its been fun.  He helped make the embroidered flowers on the back of the quilt where I put who made it and the year.  I haven't done embroidery since high school, so this has been fun to do again.

Finally made a few things for the baby, which were really fun projects for me!!! This is the first time I have been able to knit for a newborn as I didn't learn until my daughter was almost 1 and my son was 3. I'm obviously going a little crazy with it, and I have a lot more things in the queue - another sweater in a newborn size, another pair of booties and some longies and soakers. :)

Hey ladies!  I'm kind of a newbie to knitting, so my projects are pretty basic.  So far, I've made one blanket, and a couple hats.  I'll post pics later - love looking at all the pics of stuff y'all have made! Such a talented group of ladies.

Anyone have any easy patterns for knit baby headbands for girls?  All my friends are having girls, thought it would make cute, quick gifts.  Remember, I'm a newbie knitter, so easy is good.

Thanks!

I have only made one thing so far. A new diaper bag. Since I am going to be breastfeeding it doesn't have to be huge. All I will really take along is a couple diapers, wipes and some clothes for baby. Also we are not finding out gender and even though it has a little bit of pink DH said he thought it looked gender neutral enough. I used brown courdory for the front pocket. Dark brown inside as well and more mushroom fabric for the inside pockets.

Diaper bag

I used this tutorial. I only put one pocket on the front side. http://sewprimkhris.blogspot.com/2010/04/tote-bag-tutorialfree-pdf-pattern.html

My friend also knitted me an orange baby hat.

I want to make this quilt for baby but don't know gender yet so I might wait till he/she is born.

I love the circles for a baby quilt.

I love it!!!  So cute!!  I don't think you need to worry about gender when you'll be the one carrying it.

So, I'm getting some birthday money next week and was just looking at yarn.  Do you think I should get the herbal garden or orange confection?  I'm thinking I want a color that will be more neutral for the next babe after this and something that will go with other things she wears.  Both are nice.

Hmm. That is a hard choice. I always like greens, but I really like that orange confection, too. I think my vote is with the orange.

Yeah, that's why I asked, I like both.  I have until Saturday to figure it out.  I think the local yarn shop will order it for me so I don't have to pay shipping.

I've been reading along and looking at all the fabulous pictures.  Great job, ladies!

Just wanted to share what I've been making.  I'm a beginner still, but here's the blanket I made for my little one.

And here's a hat I made for a friend that's having a girl.  I've actually made a lot of little hats recently for all my pregnant friends - too many people got pregnant all at once for me to have the time and energy to make them anything much larger!
