I just bought one from Amazon and I can't tell if it's a first quality carrier or not. I ask because it doesn't seem symmetrical when I wear it. When you look at it from the front while I'm wearing my infant (forward facing), the buckles on the straps (that I assume are for use with the side carry or something) are sewn at different heights. And the whole thing seems to pull to one side a bit, even when the straps are pulled to the exact same tightness and length. Am I missing something or is this a (slightly) defective carrier?

Is it symmetrical when you take it off and lay it flat? I find with our Gemini that it is fairly easy to seat J lopsidedly in the forward-facing position. It sometimes requires the wearer to lift her up and the other person to straighten the carrier out and guide her down into it so she is sitting straight.
Also, how do you put her in? Do you do up all the buckles then lower her in and tighten the straps? Or do you just do up the waist strap then fold the back support up over her and hold her with one arm while doing up the buckles? I find the latter method easier and have less trouble with symmetry that way.
