migraine and pregnancy

For some reason this pregnancy migraines are kicking my butt.  I know for me that I tend to get them when I haven't been eating enough.  Hard to figure out how much to eat when you're pretty much hungry constantly drool.gif

The last time I had a lot of migraines I started supplementing with extra magnesium, B vitamins, and Coenzyme Q10.  I also started using some homeopathic stuff whenever I felt like I might get a migraine.

I'm guessing (?) that the extra magnesium and B vitamins can't do any harm, but the internet says CoQ10 is a no-no.

I am pretty clueless as far as homeopathic stuff.  I took something I carry in my purse before I even thought about it possibly being contraindicated... oops.  I did note the Hyland's brand has belladonna, which if I recall can cause miscarriage.  Luckily, that's not what I took!

Has anyone taken anything for migraine while pregnant?  Any other vitamins I'm missing that can help stave them off?

hi there mama,

the migraines were horrible for me! I wish I had something to tell you that helped, but honestly, nothing did. I eventually got to drinking a TON of water and that made me feel better. I was under the impression that I really need to "flush" the hormones through my system. Also taking the time to hide away in a dark room with a lavender eye pillow was helpful.

I am interested if anyone else had help with something.

Thanks - good to know I'm not the only one.  I don't remember having such a hard time during my 1st pregnancy.
