help me find the perfect dishwasher

I'm looking for a new dishwasher. I had thought I wanted a Bosch but now I'm not so sure. I know I don't want a grinder, I want the kind with the filter basket that you can remove and clean out. We've had too many problems with the filter getting clogged and depositing food bits back onto the dishes...

Any suggestions?

We have the type that is stainless steel on the inside, and it STINKS to no end.  I will never get this type again.

We have a Miele with the three racks.  The top rack is for silverware only.  You can load soooo much into this dishwasher.  We used to have a Kitchen Aid which I hated!  This one is relatively quiet, cleans well and fits a ton!

All of the Bosch DWs we looked at had non adjustable racks so you couldn't even fit a casserole dish in without it taking up a huge amount of space. That was the main issue. We really like to be able to load it up!

does it use a food grinder or does it use a removable filter basket?

Its the Miele Inspira.  It has a basket that you need to clean every so often.  It is very adjustable.  We paid around $900 for it but I feel it was well worth it since we run it at least once every single day.

Our bosch has adjustable racks and it is a more basic model. Actually all the ones I have seen are adjustable...maybe he wasn't sure how to adjust them??

it seems to be a new problem. Adjustable racks are going out of style, sadly.
