grrrr - diaper strike

Thread Starter

Our diaper sprayer broke so we used disposables for a few weeks.  I tried making a go without the sprayer, but no thanks.  Anyhow, we got the part we needed and the sprayer works.  So back to the cloth diapers, right?

Wrong. DH is basically refusing to use the cloth on our toddler (we did not get into it about the baby).  Said that disposables work better (no leaks) and you don't have to change as often.  Yes, true.  So what?  We didn't decide to go cloth because we thought they would be better diapers - we went cloth due to environmental concerns.  Plus, it's not like he does the laundry!  So the clothes that get leaked on and the diapers themselves - I'm the one that deals with them.  All he has to do is change them.

I'm annoyed.  The cloth decision was a joint one.

So now I am stuck with either (1) doing all the diaper changes (2) having DS in cloth sometimes, disposables other times and messing with laundry schedule, or (3) giving in and going disposables.

It's not like I don't want to go to disposables, too.  It's so much easier to just throw a diaper out than to deal with it.  But we made a commitment, and these choices are part of our value system.  Or so I thought.
