Do you take iodine for hypothyroidism?

Recently I have been researching natural ways to help my poor thyroid. I was just wondering if anyone uses iodine, eats iodine, or takes it in any form in order to support a low thyroid production.

I take 6 drops a day of Liqui-Kelp for iodine to help my thyroid.  I can tell when I don't take it because I get really tired.  Too much iodine is a bad thing but I carefully looked at my diet and it almost completely lacked iodine.

Bladderwrack is an excellent source of iodine.

There's lots of info here about natural thyroid remedies.

Hee hee, bladderwrack sounds like something from Harry Potter. :)

Thanks for the link though, I've been wanting to look into this a bit for myself as I suspect mild hypothyroidism.
