With that being said...

So I am poor and I have been sitting around trying to think of a way to help the people of Japan. The idea struck me that most people have video games and sometimes even out dated game systems that they no longer want or need. Since Japan has always been a major player in the video game industry I though hey why not find a way to get video games to help Japan re-build?

A friend that writes web pages is setting up a page as we speak (we are hammering out the details tonight and tomorrow) and we are thinking of crossing over to facebook with the idea as well. I also have a friend that does graphic design working on a logo tonight.

The idea is to get people to host local sales of video games and such and then to collectively donate the money from the sales to the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan. Sort of like a yard or bake sale.

So what do you guys think? I think it has the potential of doing a lot of good but I am nervous that it wont go over very well or something. Good idea, bad idea? I would really appreciate your input fellow Mothering moms. ![]()
