Unfeltable wool jersey?

I just purchased some 100% wool jersey at a discount fabric store to make diapers and aside from being really thin, it doesn't seem to want to felt.

Has anyone encountered this before? Whenever I cut a piece off it begins to unravel a lot so I'd like to have it felted.

It sounds like you have washable wool, which won't felt.  I know there was a retailer with wool interlock that turned out to be washable, and it also raveled in the wash.

Maybe you can try doubling it up?  

Or use it for long underwear, or some other nice knit garment.  Is it soft?

Hi! Thanks for the response. Since it said it was dry clean only I thought it would felt and be usable. I tried doubling it over, but that didn't work so well.

I guess I'll have to use it for other things. :)
