DD is 8 mths now. She is moving all over the place but we have a very small space. She doesn't get to explore a whole lot because of chords, shelves, etc.

In your case, I would babyproof like mad, so that she had free run of the place. Or not-- it really depends on the baby's personality. Some don't really get into stuff, others do. But if yours is one of the ones who does get into everything, I would really work on baby proofing so that she can explore more! And I would ask for suggestions if you're stuck on what to do with some of it, like if you need tips on what to do with cords, for example. ![]()
Our house is small too.
What I do is get out. I take DS to places where he can play to give him some variety:
friends' places, kids cafe, playgrounds, our baby group, or other kid-friendly areas I know of (for example I just discovered a local bookstore that has a wonderful kids' corner, he loved it!).
