grand rapids, MI groups, resources, etc.? moving in a few months!

Hello mommas!

i am moving from milwaukee to the grand rapids, MI area in a matter of months- i have asked my local community here anyone has any natural parenting connections or resources and so far, nothing.  I am hoping to find some "group" or something where i can chat with moms about various resources- pediatricians, how the vaccination requirements are there, and of course, how home birth and midwives are available in the area.  specifically, we are looking at the cascade/ada area for a home, but i would be willing to drive when worthwhile anywhere within the general grand rapids area.

if anyone has any input or links, etc., i would be so happy to check them out.

I read a few old posts about michigannaturalparenting.com and grandrapids.michigannaturalparenting.com but neither would connect for me... any other resources at all for the Grand Rapids area?

michigannaturalparenting.com forum is still up and running, and it will be your best resource for all your questions. The Grand Rapids website didn't survive a server move, so it's no longer up. We have a very active natural parenting and babywearing groups in the area, and you can find details on the forum. The GR group is very large and active... we can hook you up with all the resources.

There are also several wonderful hb midwives in the area to choose from.

I also know a great midwife in GR.  Also, some good LLL groups meet in GR.
