How long would you keep soup?

I made ham last Tuesday (1 week ago) then used the bone and some meat to make ham and bean soup on Thursday. Is the soup still safe? For how long? Should I freeze it? Thanks!

I generally follow the same guideline as the local health dept - years in the food industry. I keep leftovers for 7 days and then toss. I would eat the soup out of the fridge until Thursday and freeze it at that point.
