Anyone ever take a dropper of breast milk on the plane to squirt up baby's nose?

I was just reading Dr. Jay Gordon's website and he recommends squirting a bit of breast milk up a baby's nose every 15 minutes or so during a flight to help flush out/block germs. Anyone ever done that? Would the best thing be to put some breast milk in a dropper bottle (I have no aim when my boobies are squirting and can only imagine the funny looks I'd get!)? How many hours could I keep the milk in the bottle without refrigerating it to use and is security going to hassle me about what's actually in the dropper bottle?

I haven't had any experience with using breastmilk in the nose for germs (although I have done it to loosen goopies), but I can talk a bit about traveling with breastmilk.

First of all, you're totally fine traveling with a bottle of milk, and security won't hassle you about it. Just tell them that you have it when you go through the gate check. I traveled with an entire cooler full of milk last time I flew. Here is the TSA's page on traveling with milk. I would use a regular bottle (like a little 3 oz one), and carry a medicine dropper in your bag or with your toiletries or something.

As far as it staying safe to use-- breastmilk is good for up to 6 hours without refrigeration. If you're worried that it might be longer than that before you can get the milk into a fridge, you can put an ice pack in with the milk and it will stay fresh longer.
